Celebrate the arrival of spring with Spring Sunday Fundays at the Whittingham Discovery Center in Mill River Park. As the park comes alive with blooming flowers, budding trees, and warmer days, families are invited to gather for mornings filled with stories, creativity, and exploration.
From March 15 through May 10 (excluding Easter Sunday), join us every Sunday at 10 AM for engaging story time followed by hands-on activities inspired by the wonders of spring. Each week features a new book and creative project designed to spark curiosity about nature, imagination, and the changing season.
This week features The Girls Who Lived in the Refrigerator by David Grotto. This whimsical story introduces three magical fairies who live inside a refrigerator, each loving a different type of food like fruits, vegetables, and dairy. When a boy named Sam, who never likes trying new foods, discovers the fairies with his dog Maisey, he is invited on a fun adventure. Arrive early to grab a free copy of the book and stay afterward to enjoy themed crafts and creative activities!
