Researchers’ World at Mill River Park

In partnership with the Henkel Corporation, Mill River Park is introducing a new STEM education program called Researchers’ World. This innovative program offers outdoor and at-home STEM education lessons for Stamford students, ages 8-10.

Our pioneering program engages Stamford youth with hands-on interactive experiments created to inspire curiosity in science, while raising interest, participation, and achievement for all studentsThe Researchers’ World program utilizes Henkel’s sustainability-focused experiential science lessons to put children in the role of a researcher. The take-home lessons also include elements of fun, designed to spark a love of STEM learning.

How Does Researchers’ World at Mill River Park Work?


8 – 10 year olds


Want to become a Sustainability Ambassador? Join Researchers’ World at Mill River Park.  Participants will attend one in-person 2-hour hands-on workshop at Mill River Park to explore the science of sustainability.  Upon completion of the in-person session, participants will receive a take home research kit with activities and materials to extend their learning at home and complete 4 more experiments.


Participants have the choice of one workshop session from the times below.

COVID-19 Protocols

  • In person sessions will take place outdoors or in the Carousel Pavilion during inclement weather.
  • There is a maximum of 12 students for any in person session.
  • Participants are required to wear a mask for their entire time on site.
  • Staff will be on hand for frequent cleaning during and between sessions.
