The New Playground
The design of the playground emphasizes natural features, blending seamlessly with the park’s lush landscape. It will include elements that encourage imaginative play and physical activity while maintaining an inclusive environment that caters to children of all abilities. Features such as accessible play structures, sensory-rich areas, and ample seating for caregivers ensure that everyone can enjoy the new space.
The new playground is the result of an extensive community engagement process, that included the feedback of over 1,000 students from local schools and numerous meetings with families, ensuring it reflects the needs and desires of Stamford families and children. This collaborative effort has culminated in a playground that not only meets the highest standards of safety and accessibility, but also captures the spirit and vibrancy of our community!
