Run, Walk, and Celebrate at the SPEF 5K in Mill River Park!
Get ready to bring the energy to Mill River Park on Sunday, September 28, 2025, for the SPEF 5K Walk & Run for Education! Check-in and on-site registration begin at 8:00 AM, with the main race kicking off at 9:00 AM, rain or shine.
Participants can choose from multiple fun formats:

A timed 5K Run/Walk, perfect for runners or a brisk family walk

SPEFY’s Fun Run, ideal for kids 12 and under—a mile-long adventure with fun activities along the way.

A Virtual 5K, allowing supporters to join from anywhere, complete with a guaranteed commemorative T-shirt if registered before September 22.
What’s new (and exciting) this year? After crossing the finish line, enjoy the Enrichment Expo, where local organizations showcase interactive programs spanning STEM, the arts, literacy, sports, and more. Plus, the event features food trucks, music, games, giveaways, and a free commemorative T-shirt for registrants.
