Though turf lawns are great spaces for recreation, they traditionally require heavy inputs of water, chemical fertilizer, and energy with a very low return for the local ecosystem. This workshop will offer ways to reduce mowing by substituting turf for lower maintenance ground covers that add beauty and provide greater ecological value. Additionally, we will also share some best practices for more sustainable lawn care.
