Programs for Juniors are 1.5 Hours Long
Gardner (Seasonal)
Explore our beautiful Main Street Garden and learn the basics of garden design! In addition to a lovely garden tour, scouts will do some planting on the property and take native seeds home with them!
Flowers (Year-Round)
Juniors will learn about the different parts of a flower using a microscope and enjoy a “bug’s eye view” of how flowers work! In addition to learning some spectacular science, they will have the opportunity to press flowers and write in their own flower code.
Craft & Tinker (Year-Round)
Explore the exciting world of STEAM while earning a badge at Mill River Park! Girl Scouts will have the opportunity to design, create and innovate one of two projects: the rubber band racer and 3D wonder kit. Your troop will work one-on-one with a Mill River Park educator to assist in production, design and clean up. All the tools and supplies needed to complete both projects will be provided – all you need to bring is your sense of creativity!
We also offer craft and tinker “badge in a box” kits for Daisies, Brownies and Juniors. Basic crafting tools are not provided in the take home option.
