This family-friendly event invites children of all ages to explore a festive trail across the park’s West Side\, stopping at 12 creatively decorated egg stations along the way. Each station is filled with surprises\, fun activities\, and opportunities to collect goodies. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAfter completing the trail\, families can enjoy a photo opportunity with cheerful spring inflatables and take a spin on the Carousel. Carousel rides are available for $2 each\, with a bundle of 6 rides for $10. DESCRIPTION:From April 11 through May 2\, park visitors can enjoy free Cherry Blossom Tours on Saturdays and Sundays at 11 AM and 2 PM. \nThese guided tours are led by a park docent\, are free of charge\, and are limited to 10 participants per tour. To secure a spot\, visitors are encouraged to stop by the Whittingham Discovery Center to sign up in advance\, as walk ins are available on a first come\, first served basis. \nEach tour is approximately one hour long and includes the history of the cherry blossoms at Mill River Park\, along with a fun hands on craft activity. SUMMARY:Community Mindful Project
DESCRIPTION:Community Mindfulness Project (CMP)  is excited to share a free\, three week Outdoor Mindfulness program with the Stamford community this May.\n\n\nJoin us on select Wednesdays from 6 PM to 7 PM for any or all of this Outdoor Mindfulness program.  CMP’s outdoor mindfulness program is rooted in and informed by the practice of forest bathing\, also known as shinrin-yoku\, which originated in Japan in the 1980s. The term was coined by the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture\, Forestry\, and Fisheries in 1982 and translates as “taking in the forest atmosphere” or “forest bathing.” Forest environments were found to reduce stress\, lower blood pressure\, boost the immune system and improve mood. These findings have led to the recognition and promotion of Forest Bathing as a meditative practice\, as well as a form of preventative healthcare. During our time together\, we’ll use our senses to open up to the present moment experience and notice nature all around us at Mill River Park.\n\n\nCommunity Mindfulness Project brings this Outdoor Mindfulness program to the Stamford community in partnership with the Mill River Park Collaborative.\n\n\nEveryone is welcome to join. No prior meditation experience is necessary.

The Mayor’s Multicultural Council in partnership with Mill River Park Collaborative are pleased to announce Stamford Day 2026\, a free\, fun\, family-friendly event celebrating the rich history and cultural diversity of Stamford to be held on Sunday\, May 31\, 2026 from 10:30am to 2:30pm in Mill River Park located at 1050 Washington Blvd.\, Stamford\, CT (near the fountain).\n\nThe outdoor event will feature family friendly activities including a history hunt in the park\, coloring\, face painting\, raffles\, art displays\, music\, dance performances and food truck for the public to purchase. The event will be held rain or shine. Please bring blankets or chairs. Bring your family\, invite your neighbors\, and come celebrate what makes Stamford special.\n\nFree Parking is available at UCONN parking lot (1194 Washington Blvd).\n\nPlease email StamfordMMC@stamfordct.gov with questions.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on Mondays for Rhythmic Yoga w/ Live Drumming on the Grand Steps\, happening Mondays at 7 PM from June 1 through August 16. Led by Pilin Anice and Kevin Makarewicz\, this breath-centered\, rhythmic yoga practice guides participants through flowing sequences designed to stretch and strengthen the body\, activate the core\, and ignite inner radiance. \nEach class offers a moving meditation that encourages body awareness\, mindfulness\, and stress relief\, creating space to reconnect both mentally and physically. Open to all levels\, this welcoming session is designed for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. \nFit Club classes are free and open to the public.
